Understated Elegance for a Modern and Timeless Elopement in the Bernese Highlands.

Switzerland is never short of breathtaking locations to get away and celebrate your love!

I have lived 6 years already in this country, always inspired by the thousand possibilities the Helvetic land has to explore and delight in. From crystalline lakes to lush vineyards, eternal snowy peaks to magnificent valleys, one can say that there is something for everyone to discover and have a memorable experience. But I think nothing can compare to the grandiosity of the mountains and the charm of mountain villages here in Switzerland to be the perfect background for your intimate wedding or elopement!

As proof, we went to Mürren, a Swiss mountain village at the foot of the Schilthorn peak, more known for its appearance in a certain legendary agent's film. It was in this quaint and cosy mountain village that our lovely couple, a Mongolian beauty and her beau, shared a beautiful day together, in front of the lens of my talented friend Angelika Dupuis.

The bride was radiant, her beauty perfectly highlighted by the skilled hands of Julia , gracefully arrayed in a dress by Russian designer Tatyana Kochnova and vintage heels by Yves Saint Laurent.

With a "less is more" approach, this editorial was inspired by the idea of simplicity and play, where the focus was entirely the intimacy and connection of the two lovers.

We opted for rich, deep, moody hues evoking the last days of autumn contrasting some softness and lightness with ivories and whites, that were present both in the gorgeous invitation made by Jessica as well as the florals. Following with the simplicity desired, I made an organic bouquet with beautiful blooms from Chickadee Flower Farm and added some chocolate cosmos from my own garden, following our sustainable approach to flowers.

All you need is love, an awe-inspiring background and amazing creatives and you will have the most special unique day. Scroll down and be inspired!!!

I am not going to lie... I am completelly smitten by the black and white photos Angelina took. Such a timelessness and emotional quality to them, don't you think?
